After nearly 4 weeks in Europe, Wifey and I are back in Melbourne. We’ve had an amazing time. We’ve seen a lot of places that we had always dreamt of seeing, met a lot of new people, experienced different cultures and ways of living and tasted many types of food traditional to each countries. After coming back from Europe, you can’t help but compare Melbourne to the places we’ve visited. You realise how ‘young’ Melbourne’s history is compared to most cities in Europe. To be honest, after tasting the food over there, I can say that Melbourne still has the best food in the world (well I haven’t travelled the whole world but I’m sure I am right about this #biased #ILoveMelbourne).
What stood out for me from our trip is the rich history of the cities, clearly expressed through the architecture of buildings and monuments, the works of art such as the paintings, sculptures and statues that decorate the interior and exterior of the buildings, the details in the gildings, windows, doors, even down to the door knobs. If I was to post a picture a day on Instagram, I would probably have a year’s worth of photos to share just on the architecture alone haha.
Now that we’re back, I finally have some time to share our trip with you :). I shall break it down to days so that I can give more details of our experiences and we have some interesting stories to tell #watchthisspace.
Cheerio,
Jeeps
