Folio

This is the temporary home for my work as my online folio is currently under construction. I have included links to high resolution mock ups below each project for closer inspection of my designs.

Target Australia

Redesign

I was given the chance to create some concepts on what Target 2.0 could look like. I was to focus on the Target.com.au homepage and designing components that are reusable throughout the whole website. I came up with a modular design that fits a responsive grid.

Reskin

The current Telstra.com website’s look and feel has not been updated since 2016. With a fresh new take on the brand back in 2017 and through my own initiative, I started to clean up the page design on a component level, from the header down to the footer. I had to consider the following: 1) no new components will be built, 2) the structure of the components will remain however, the style can be updated and 3) produce designs that can be implemented in the shortest amount of time. The following designs were the outcome.

Redesign

The reskin project was shelved weeks after approval as a complete redesign of Telstra.com was greenlit. I was the first designer attached to the project. The initial work was to collaborate with two UX designers who had done extensive research and user testing of new user flow and digital product presentation on the website. Primarily focusing on the main landing page and global elements, I was one of three designers that had designed the new components and look and feel that will be launching soon on Telstra.com.

Startup

My ex-work colleague invited me to his team as he pitched his idea at Startup Weekend Melbourne in 2013. His idea was a digital product solution to solve one of the hospitality industry’s pain points when it comes to the ordering process between a retailer and a supplier. We won the event and on that day, Pan-tree was born. I continued working with the the team while I still had a full time job, working on our startup after hours. A year after I left, it changed its name to Pantree.co.

Website Design (Freelance)

Through my partnership with James Williamson, owner of Kasio99 (a web design and development company), I am able to provide website and graphic design work to his clients. I design, he builds. One of his clients was Paul Daniele, owner of Mindful Body & Spirit that delivers corporate workplace wellness programs such as yoga and pilates needed his website updated. Based on the wireframes James and Paul had drawn up, I added the look and feel to the page. I took the palette from the logo, using the turquoise for the main colour as it exudes a calming vibe that fits the context of the website.

With their physical shop currently under renovations in Fitzroy North, the owner wanted to continue their business through an online shop. Their online presence needed to look and feel whimsical and eclectic, the same as their shops and the products that they sell. Not only did I provide page designs but also suggestions on how to present their products online, in this instance using a deep-etched technique behind light coloured backgrounds to keep some design consistency in the product list.
